 HOW TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD

                                                                                                            Lesson #1

A.     THE BIG QUESTION:

How do you know if you are a Christian? Does going to church make you a Christian? Does being baptized make you a Christian? Does holding an important position in the church make you a Christian? Does keeping the golden rule make you a Christian? Does keeping the Ten commandments make you a Christian? Does being a good, honest and sincere person, make you a Christian? Does living a good clean life and never doing anything wrong make you a Christian? Is it the doing of good deeds such as feeding the poor, caring for the homeless or helping the elderly make you a Christian?

The answer to each of these questions is a resounding no. According to Jesus the only way a person can become a Christian is by being born again. (St. John 3:3;

I Cor. 15:22)

The term being born again means to become a brand new spirit.

So to become a Christian a person must be born again or changed on the inside (receive a brand new spirit ) by believing the gospel.

B.     WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?:

            (The Word Means Good News

Key Scripture (I Cor. 15: 1-7)

  2. The Burial – That Christ was buried

  3. The Resurrection – That Christ was raised according to the scriptures
