A. The One God Truth

There is one God who manifest Himself ( makes Himself known) through three Divine personalities. God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit .(I Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; I Tim. 2:5)

B. Scriptural evidence of the manifestations (to make known) of God:

1.The baptism of Jesus, (Matt. 3:16); additional evidence in the (ITim.3:16).

2. Jesus was God manifested in the flesh when He lived bodily on the earth. (John 14: 9-10)

3. Jesus promised to send one just like Himself he called this one the Comforter. (John 14:16 –18; 25;26), I Cor.3:16; 6:19; II Cor. 6:16)

C. Works of the Holy Spirit

1. The Holy Spirit was responsible for the birth of Jesus. ( Matt: 1:20)

2. The Holy Spirit functions in the new birth of the believer. (John 1:13; 3:8)

3. The Holy Spirit fills the believer with power for service in the kingdom of God.(Acts:1:8; 2:4; 8:15-17; 10:44-48; 19:1-7)

D. Ministries of the Holy Spirit within the believer :

(John 14:16,25;16:7-15)

1. Comforter

2. Counselor

3. Helper

4. Standby

5. Intercessor

6. Advocate

7. Strengthener

F. I Cor. 12: 7-11 : Gifts of the Spirit

1. Gifts that say something: Tongues, Interpretation Of Tongues, Prophecy

2. Gifts that do something: Gifts of healings; gift of faith , gift of working of miracles

3. Gifts that reveal something: Word of knowledge, Word of wisdom, Discerning of spirits
